I began my career in nursing starting in 1989, working as a nursing assistant at Parmly nursing home and at Chisago Lakes Hospital in Chisago City MN. I then attended Century College for the licensed practical nursing to associate degree nursing program. During that time, I transitioned to Osceola clinic, working as a clinic LPN and then with Osceola Hospital as an RN. I have since focused my interests and passion in emergency nursing. I have worked with Fairview Lakes Emergency Department since 2001 and have been employed as the Trauma Program manager since 2009 and have added Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton MN to my role in 2014. Recently, I completed my undergraduate studies for a bachelor of science in Nursing with Bethel University. I am a member of Society of Trauma nurses and Emergency nurses association. I have also become involved with many Minnesota regional and state trauma programs as well as injury prevention activities.
I have lived in Chisago County my entire life. I have two wonderful children, ages 17 and 18, who adore being outdoors as much as I do. I enjoy camping, biking, hiking and canoeing the state parks as well as fishing, gardening and snowmobiling.
